I kept imagining a very romanticized circus (very Moulin Rouge type of decadence) where they would sleep under the stars in silk tents (potentially the same tents from Dirty Dancing Havana Nights). Very magical. I dunno...
But that's where the background and overall design came from.
I love her gravity defying boobs (that is a super hard angle to draw realistically). But I imagine she would be the obsessive-compulsive type to keep her boobs in constant "training" where those shelf-bra/corset/torture devices are concerned. She is a truly dedicated gymnast/athlete and a closet OCD perfectionist. Everything about her life/profession is a well trained/rehearsed act of beauty (in the same way as Satine in Moulin Rouge).
In the end I chose a peek-a-boo top because I couldn't *not* draw her boobs (they pretty much define her profession because beauty is 50% pain).
